One of the first Master Certified Coaches, my passion is to assist motivated clients to discover/affirm their values, share their unique gifts, navigate change and enjoy life!  I am effective at listening, providing insight, supporting and challenging my clients to get what they want.

My primary clients are:
  • Professionals, executives and business owners desiring to effectively increase performance excellence, alignment with their core values and the satisfaction of impacting their world in productive and meaningful ways
  • Individuals seeking healthy ways to address a major loss/change in their life that requires developing a “new normal” and perhaps a new definition of self
  • Experienced Coaches seeking to become more masterful in their lives and in the depth of their work with their clients  (This includes those seeking mentoring to prepare for their Masters level of Certification from ICF.)

Brief Professional History

After two years of coaching education and several years in practice, I earned my Master Certified Coach designation from the International Coach Federation (ICF).

I am a member of the ICF and was a founding member of the local ICF.  I served for 11 years on the ICF Credentialing Team as in an exam evaluator. For several years I served on the faculty of University of Texas, Dallas (UTD) in the Graduate School of Business. There, I helped implement the Coaching Certificate Program, developed the Coaching Skills Practicum and served as a supervisory coach. Early in my coaching career I devoted six years as a coach educator for CoachU and co-wrote the curriculum for the “most valuable class,” the Coaching Skills Practicum, which I later adapted for use at UTD.

Prior to establishing my coaching practice in 1996, I worked for 23 years at Hinsdale Hospital.  My last position there was on the faculty of Hinsdale Family Practice Residency (HFPR), a post-graduate training program for physicians. With the support of Hinsdale Hospital I founded  Teen Parent Connection, a long-term program of information and support for adolescent parents.  In addition to Perinatal Services, my experience also include Emergency, Critical Care and Outpatient Oncology services.

Continually refreshed and strengthened by my spirituality, a fantastic support system of family and friends as well as by a wide variety of interests, I am able to bring myself fully to this work of my (and your) heart.

How will you know if you and I are “a fit” for a coaching partnership?

I offer a complimentary call to see if we both feel that we are compatible and can work together successfully.  I also encourage you to interview other coaches and choose the coach you think will bring out the best in you.

Important to note
I am not trained to provide psychotherapy, and, although I have a background in nursing, I will not be giving any medical advice or service to you.  If any issues come up for you that need to be handled by a medical professional or a licensed therapist, I will direct you to them for more appropriate and effective care.
